Family moves to Moscow when his father is promoted to a position at the All-Union Institute of Engineering of Agricultural Power Stations

Attends Picasso’s first solo exhibition in the Soviet Union at the Pushkin Museum with his mother

1957

Attends the Sixth World Festival of Youth and Students with his older brother Garegin

1959

Makes multiple visits to the first ever American National Exhibition in the USSR with friends

1960–1963

Attends Mathematics and Physics Lyceum

1962

Makes first visit to the studio of Georgy Motovilov, the chair of the Department of Architectural and Decorative Plastics at the Stroganov Academy

1964

Successfully enrolls at the Stroganov Academy, Moscow
